Why Puppy Play and Train?

Our Puppy Play and Train class  is currently considered 'best practice' in puppy training and is modeled after the recommendations made by the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behaviorists, a group of Veterinarians who specialize in behavior.  Among other things they say, "Veterinarians specializing in behavior recommend that owners take advantage of every safe opportunity to expose young puppies to the great variety of stimuli that they will experience in their lives. Enrolling in puppy classes prior to three months of age can be an excellent means of improving training, strengthening the human-animal bond, and socializing puppies in an environment where risk of illness can be minimized."

Staffed with dog trainers, our socialization class focuses on maintaining your puppies safety and positive mental state while encouraging them to experience lots of new and novel things in addition to allowing them to play in a supervised situation that minimizes stress.  In addition we start introducing marker training, name recognition, watch and touch behaviors.

In order to maximize available space we bring the puppies and and ask the parents to watch on our Zoom simulcast, where we can answer questions about what's going on, issues you're having at home and discuss general health and well being issues like trimming toenails, getting your dog used to being handled and how you can continue the socialization process every day!

Our program encourages this class for all our clients and backs this up by offering deep discounts on this class by way of our Package Pricing.  For $325 our Puppy Package 1 includes up to 4 Play and Train classes AND the 6 week Level 1 - Puppy Kindergarten page.
